Quick update

Just to fill everyone in on a few quick things.

Tuesday June 30th - Camp Happy Sands: We are going to provide lunch out at a day camp for underprivileged kids on Johnson Beach. Bring Beach clothes, towels, and all of that stuff. Be at Church at 9:00 a.m. I plan to have everyone back at the church at about 2. I am not sure if that is exactly when will get back, but we will call on our way back.

On Wednesday night you will be provided with a "What to bring to Camp" list and a "What to bring for the Sr. High Mission Trip" list. So be ready for those.

July 6-11th - Sr. High Mission Trip - Cost is $25 plus the cost of 6 meals (fast food), any gas station snacks, and souvenirs/etc. on the trip at the amusement park or anywhere else. Only 22 spots available. So once they are filled they are GONE!

June Updates

Well hello there everyone, let me update you on the things going on with Teen Gateway!

Sundays and Wednesdays
- Sundays we are doing a split boys and girls class. The Girls are meeting in the Teen Room and doing a study of the book of Esther with Kay Watson, who is an awesome teacher and such a Godly woman for our girls to be learning from. The Guys are meeting in Room 22 and doing a study on the Wild at Heart book by John Eldridge.
- Wednesday nights are "How Great is Our God" Wednesdays. We are spending some time in worship each evening and then watching lessons by the great Louie Giglio on the big screen.

Coming up soon

• Lock-In - This FRIDAY night is our lock-in! Meet at the church @ 6:00 p.m. Bring $10 for the event. ALSO BE SURE TO EAT DINNER BEFORE YOU COME, WE ARE NOT EATING DINNER TOGETHER! We are going bowling so bring any extra money you need for snacks or video games at the bowling ally. Parents please pick up your Teen at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning!
• Veranda Chapel - This Sunday, June 14th, we are host chapel again at the Veranda! We will leave at 10:10 a.m. and be back by the end of church around 11:30 p.m.
  
• SNL - This Sunday night will begin SNL. Teens you will be providing the bible lesson for the Bold Bible Kids. It is gonna be awesome ministering to the young kids here at Gateway and for them to see you taking an active role in your faith!
• TNT - Next Thursday, June 18th, begins our bi-weekly Thursday Night Togetherness. This is going to be a serious and intimate study of the book of Romans. This is open to our Senior High (9th-12th grade). Please come prepared to open up about what God tells the church in Rome and how it is so applicable for today! This is maybe my favorite book in the B - I - B - L - E! So I am really pumped about it!
• VBS - June 20th - Be ready to help Mrs. Debbie put on another Rocking VBS for our childern and the community!
• IMPACT - June 22-27th - Be @ Gateway on the 22nd at 7:00 a.m. with your luggage, your $ for meals on the way up there, $20 cash for your room key deposit (you will get this back at the end of the week if you don't lose your key!), and don't forget to bring your remaining balance for Impact if you have one!
  
• Camp Happy Sands - June 30th - We are providing lunch for the kids at Camp Happy Sands in Perdido. It will be a lot of fun playing with the kids at the beach. Bring towel, sunscreen, wear bathing suit under some clothes to play in.

CAMP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE, PLEASE PICK ONE UP AT THE INFORMATION DESK!!!! CAMP IS JULY 19-25TH!
